Graceland in Queens

Any of you who frequent this blog (what exactly is wrong with you anyway?...) know that I rarely bring personal news to the table. However, you'd have to be blind not to realize that I have a dog named Elvis who my family and I care about way more than we do for people. (Well, maybe not my mom, she's pretty selfless and does a lot of volunteer work.) Anyway, a few days after I returned from Hero's Con he passed away. I was awake and with him at the time and consider myself pretty damn lucky for it as it's not usual to have the chance to tell a good friend just how many people love them before they go.

Needless to say, it's the end of an era for me and my family but I'm sure that few creatures have been more loved than he. In fact, I had made dire predictions about the state of the world in his absence (ie my parents divorcing, my twin suddenly forgetting how to read, my older sister joining green peace, thousands of sickly cats flooding my apartment, volcanos etc.) but it turns out that everything will be ok. Elvis is The King and not much can ever change that.

So sorry to hear about that. I know how hard it can be to lose a dog. They really are the best friends anyone can have. Through your comic strips though, he will live on forever.
