remember when i wasn't a total wiener?

Ok, don't answer that. Aside whatever your opinion of me is, I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for the past few months and I find that to be a little more than crappy. I've been dealing with a lot of health things that are a bit out of my control but as I've slowly started to get a handle on some of them I thought, why stop there? As much as I love Elvis and the comics he brings, I remember when I used to really love drawing and comics and creating stories that went for more than one page!! I want that back.

Perhaps you're saying to yourself, what the hell is she talking about? Well don't worry your pretty head about that because the most important thing is what it means: loving comics and making as many of them as I can. So, in the spirit of my more sprightly college days, I've set a goal that is ambitious AND attainable if I keep my nose to the grindstone. I need to get back into good habits and remember what it like to draw a full day so I can get to the projects that I've been unable to (and desperately want to) give 100% on.

So, without further ado I present the start of my new mini that will debuting at the NY Anime Festival this December 7-9th. If I have any Japan Kids reading this (ladies, that's you especially!) they should recognize this. It's a comic I've had thumbnailed out, partly penciled, and written out over the course of three sketchbooks. It's my Japanese bath/onsen mini and whether I just get one or two chapters or the whole thing done, it will be on the table of the Javits Center's first anime con next to the elegant goods my table mate, the lovely Laura Wilson, will bring.

Note: I'm not wearing my glasses or a lot of cloths for most of this comic. It's gonna be awesome.
Another note: I don't usually like to type so much or be so obviously psyching myself up, so thank you if you made it this far. It's appreciated.

Good to hear that back to work madame. Is there any way I will be able to get your new book with out braving the NY Anime fest? I sense I would be made to fell a tad out of place amoungst such vehement fans.
