more for A.P.E.

As the Alternative Press Expo rapidly approaches, so does my panic to have new things to sell and hand out! I've just put together a micro mini comic called One Day I Will Be Brave and did some reprints of I Love Love (too bad I hate you) with new bright pink covers. I think I'm feeling a bit calmer now...

APE

Along with some comics I'll be selling these prints at A.P.E.!

It's A-Ko and B-ko in gauche. They'll be 5x8" giclee prints on lovely somerset velvet paper. I haven't sold prints like these before so I don't have many, but I'd like to do more like this in the future if it goes well!

last weekend

I did a lot of walking around last weekend and took a trip to the Huntington Botanical Garden/Museum with my friend and his family. Behold!

This is around Jon's and my apartment.

I feel like there are some things that I see in drawings but never in real life. This is one of them. "It looks so much like a drawing!" I think to myself but it's a real thing *__*; Snaaaail!

The botanical was pretty exciting. I want some living rock pets! I miss my Astoria radiator garden!

And then there's this dude finishing it out strong!!

I've done a switch on comics and am now working for Cartoon Network doing writing/story boarding for the Regular Show. Please look forward to future episodes with my partner, Benton Conner, and I boarding!

And don't worry comics, I'm not leaving you!

GIANT ROBOT: Game Over 4

Giant Robot is proud to present Game Over IV, a group show that pays homage to the continuous evolution of videogames and their massive influence on popular culture. The impact and inspiration of videogames will be represented through a wide assortment of styles and genres provided by top artists in the fields of illustration, painting, sewing, indie comics, and videogames.

If you're in San Francisco for the opening, please check it out!
I put together a poster inspired by the original Russian folk tale that goes to the Korobeiniki song that plays during Tetris. If you know anything of Russian stories then I needn't tell you the nature of the tale's outcome. (I wouldn't say it would beat out Anna Karenina in a showdown exactly but it's not going to leave you with warm and fuzzy feelings.) But let's try to stay positive! After it's debut at Game Over 4, it will be available for purchase along side two other new prints at the Attract Mode store!

i've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one

I'm pretty sure most of my Valentine's Day cards have reached their final destinations at this point. So here they are!

The word balloons were filled with appropriately lovely Valentine's Day phrases such as:

'I've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one'

'I think we should see other people'

'Second choice is still a choice'

'Commitment is for the weak'

'It's not me, it's you'

It's ok people, just be swept away by the romance I provide you. I know it's overwhelming but you'll get used to it.
IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

Arabesque vol. 2

A stunning new volume of the aesthetic zine Arabesque is nearing completion! According to its most lovely editor, 'This issue is even longer (running at around 136 pages with 12 of them in colour!!) and ties together the themes of tradition and folktales contrasting with images from the city and film.'

I was lucky enough to participate in the first volume and have a brand new illustration for volume 2! So please check for updates here and at Arabesque's Blog for updates and pre ordering info!
